An Executive Event by GEN - The Global Executive Network is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and peers and discuss the latest and most important trends for a specific industry-related or management-focused topic.
This Executive Event is created to discuss "How to take advantage of GDPR? " in a high-level peer-to-peer environment. This exclusive event is limited to a number of 18–22 executive guests and participation is always free of charge.
Many organisations are in fact using GDPR as a stepping stone to design their unified governance strategy and enhance their customer policy in the context of a broader digital transformation agenda. Most of the companies have completed some form of a maturity assessment, and are now starting the real work, but we see that a lot of organisations are still struggling to discover, assess and document sensitive data living on premise & cloud, and still cannot really guarantee that their data is sufficiently protected.
Now, in the quest to cherish the personal data of individuals in an enterprise, data management and governance are suddenly sexy. In the present climate, it is exciting to see individual rights extended, and organisations that use that excitement to build a better data culture can reap the dividends.
Doing only what is necessary for compliance, may be fine in the short run, but those who embrace these core principles will be far better positioned for potential future regulatory change which we anticipate, given the pace of technical and social change in the world.
