General Business Terms and Conditions

1. GEN - The Global Executive Network provides services only to companies as defined in �14 of the Civil Code. GEN - The Global Executive Network unfortunately is not able to enter into contracts with consumers.

2. For all disputes arising out of the contractual relationship, it is agreed that Hamburg shall be the juridiction if the customer is a business entity, public-law legal entity, or public-law special property.

3. All legal relations between us and the customer are subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany exclusively, to the exclusion of laws governing the international purchase of chattels. This applies even if the registered office of the customer is located outside the Federal Republic of Germany.

4. These business terms and conditions are applicable to all business relations with the customer even if they are not mentioned in subsequent contracts. They apply even if the customer makes reference to its own business terms and conditions, unless this is expressly approved.

5. Invalidity of one provision of these business terms and conditions shall not affect the validity of the other terms and conditions. The parties to the contract undertake to substitute for the invalid provision a valid provision that comes close to the original provision in terms of economic result, and which best accords with the purpose of the contract.

6. Effective from 01 January 2003, we require the following information for credit card payments before we can process your order: your credit card number, expiration date, name of cardholder, and the last three digits of the number printed on the back of your card (CVC number). We shall not be able to process your order without this information.

7. Please note that reservation cancelations must be indicated to us in writing, at least three business days before the event date. Otherwise, we shall have to invoice you for the guest space reserved for you, at the rate of �145 plus value-added tax (VAT) to cover event location, beverages during breaks, printed event documentation, including the list of participants, and digital event documentation in the post-event download area, including all downloads, plus hotel catering/dinner.

 

Exclusion of Liability/Partnerships

In a decision handed down on 12 May 1998, the Regional Court of Hamburg ruled that a party that furnishes a link to a site may be jointly liable for the contents of the linked site. According to the Regional Court decision, this joint liability can be avoided only if the party expressly dissociates itself from said contents. Our web pages contain links to other Internet web sites.
